I grew up in the Fraser Valley and first came to Abbotsford to complete my Kinesiology degree at UFV. I later moved to Vancouver to pursue medical school at UBC, where I also completed my residency through the Indigenous Family Medicine Program. My training was deeply rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and trauma-informed care, which continue to shape how I approach maternity and family medicine. I have recently returned home to the Fraser Valley and feel grateful to be caring for families in this community.
I have always loved obstetrics, and after having children of my own, that love grew even deeper. Pregnancy and childbirth are profoundly meaningful seasons in a person’s life. I consider it a true privilege to walk alongside families during this time and strive to honour each experience with compassion, respect, and culturally safe care. I still tear up at deliveries and never tire of being called in at all hours of the night to help welcome a new baby into the world.
Alongside maternity care, I also practice full-scope family medicine and provide virtual health services, allowing me to care for patients across many stages of life.
When I’m not at the hospital or clinic, you’ll find me soaking up family time with my husband and our two rambunctious boys, who keep life busy, a little chaotic, and always adventurous. We love camping, swimming, park hangouts, movie nights, board games, travelling (when time allows), and trying new restaurants together.
